INTRODUCING IHCONTROLSTM

INTRODUCING IHCONTROLSTM

IHControlsTM Prevent False-Negative Test Results

A negative test result – i.e., no staining – means that the patient’s tumor cells lack the protein being tested for. However, this result can be caused by a test malfunction.

IHControls™ are positive on-slide test controls that verify there were no malfunctions.

IHCONTROLSTM: THE ONLY COST-EFFECTIVE OFF-THE-SHELF IHC CONTROLS

With IHControlsTM, the Clinical IHC lab is now on par with other types of clinical diagnostic laboratories, like Clinical Chemistry or Hematology, having commercial standardized test controls.

This avoids the time-consuming problem of having to produce inconsistent, non-standardized homemade controls.

IHCONTROLSTM are UNIQUE

IHCONTROLSTM are UNIQUE: A Consistent, Verified Concentration in every lot

Homemade tissue controls are inherently variable, inconsistent, and of unknown concentration.

Our proprietary tagged proteins allow precise measurement of concentration, assuring consistency day-to-day, lot-to-lot, & lab-to-lab.

IHCONTROLSTM ARE THE SAFE CHOICE

IHCONTROLSTM ARE THE SAFE CHOICE

IHControlsTM comprise cell-sized beads coated with protein targets. These are clearly distinguishable from patient samples.

Placing homemade tissue controls adjacent to the patient sample risks confusing two similar samples, which would result in a misdiagnosis.

LIMITATIONS OF CURRENT CONTROLS

LIMITATIONS OF CURRENT CONTROLS

Homemade Tissue Controls IHControls™
Inherently variable and inconsistent over time. IHC labs search for suitable control materials from their paraffin block archives. Consistent & reproducible because of our proprietary tagged proteins.
Preparation is labor-intensive & time-consuming, requiring retrieval of suitable blocks, re-testing, and microtomy. No preparation needed. Purchased like any other laboratory reagent.
Expensive to prepare, discouraging use as an on-slide control. Cost-effective, supporting best practices as on-slide control. Regulatory guidelines recommend on-slide controls for every patient slide.
